Hey mom. They just changed our p-days to monday, im just letting you know.  We went to the temple this morning and I remembered how much I love you.  I dont really have much to say. My district is awesome and I get along pretty well with everyone.  We listened to a talk given by elder bednar and it was really good, if you get the chance to look at it it is called "charecters of Christ"  It made me want to be better in a lot of ways.  And a lot of what he talked about made me realize that you were like, excatly the type of person that elder bednar was explaining and you take all of your time to serve others. I love you so much. Love elder jacobson

Hola mi Padre, today is P-day but it's kind of crazy because our P-day was scheduled for fridays but since the new byu term just started all of the schedules got changed so our P-day is now monday.  They also changed to rules so that every day we have gym time where we can go play soccer or basketball but on p-days we are just supposed to prepare lessons do laundry and stuff like that.  I have been going to the gym with the elders in my district to play basketball, i usually just play volleyball but none of the elders really play soccer so I just go with them.  It is cool to be able to write to you guys.  If you get the chance there is a couple of things that I would like you or mom to send me though, I forgot some things on my cars keychain like the vile for the oil and the two hands holding the iron rod, there was also my journal that I took to general conference that I forgot so it would be nice if somebody could send me that as well, I dont have my retainers but I dont really need them either.  Well enough of that, thanks for all that you have done to help me prepare for this, you work so hard and set such a good example. I love you, Elder Jacobson.  P.s. have mom email me I have 18 minutes left.

Our First Email

Hey mom, I just got time to email today because they let us do laundry on satrudays so we have a small P-day type of thing.  I sent a letter to you yesterday of the past two days while we were here.   My companions name is elder Fleshman and we get along very well.  Today was pretty relaxed we just at some breakfast than as a district we just sat and talked for like an hour or so.  So it has been really good.  Erin was right about the schedule. we eat a ton.... and we study a ton... It is good though I really enjoy being able to study that much and be able to be learning all the time, but eating that much is the hard part, i don't know if I can make it with this much food in me.  But yesterday we had something new come up where we had to teach our first "investigator" all entirely in spanish, which I was kind of prepared for except for the fact that the other elders in our zone were telling us that they only did like five percent spanish so I was thinking we would be able to talk english a bit, but no... when we didn't know the correct spanish words to say we just sat there awkwardly for like five minutes and couldn't get the correct translation of our lesson to him.  It was crazy though, how much spanish we were able to understand after only two days.  I think it is truly a miracle how the spirit is able to do that to us. I love you so much keep praying together for me, I got the package with the chips in it and I am sharing the cookies. Adios. Elder Jacobson
